Gluten Free

Responding to Consumer Demand

Gluten-free and Allergen Free products are becoming increasingly popular among consumers who suffer from celiac disease, gluten intolerance or allergies. These products are made without wheat, barley, and rye, and can also be free from other common allergens, such as soy and dairy as two further examples.

As an industry, it is important to recognise the growing demand for gluten-free products and to ensure that our clients have access to the best ingredients to make high-quality gluten-free/allergen-free food products.

Natasha’s Law: Ensuring Safety and Transparency in Labeling

One key factor to consider when it comes to allergens is Natasha’s Law, which requires all food businesses in the UK to list the full ingredients of pre-packaged food products.

This law was implemented in response to the tragic death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who suffered a severe allergic reaction to sesame seeds in a pre-packaged sandwich.

Strict Procedures: Clear and Accurate Allergen Information

As a company, we are aware of the importance of having strict procedures in place when it comes to allergens and ensuring that our clients are informed about the allergen content of our ingredients.

By offering a range of high-quality gluten-free ingredients and providing clear and accurate allergen information, we can help our customers to meet the needs of consumers who require gluten/allergen-free products.
